What Is the Digital Battery Passport?
The battery passport is a digital record for an individual battery, accessible through a QR code on the device. It combines model-level information with data specific to that individual battery, including data generated during actual use. It is based on the EU Battery Regulation (EU 2023/1542), which has been in force since August 2023 and applies independently of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
