Spherity has officially achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for our Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Furniture ranks second among priority product groups for the Digital Product Passport in the European Commission's first ESPR Working Plan (April 2025), with an indicative timeline of 2028. For furniture manufacturers, retailers, and procurement teams, this means material origin, repairability, and end-of-life information will need to be machine-readable and verifiable.

Steel and aluminium are named among the product groups for which future delegated acts under the ESPR are planned, though no fixed timeline exists yet. In parallel, the Critical Raw Materials Act is advancing traceability for raw materials. For the metals industry, these are two complementary regulatory tracks pointing toward the same principle: traceable, verifiable product data across the full lifecycle.

Behind every Digital Product Passport sits a foundation that is not yet fully finished: the technical standards currently being developed by CEN/CLC JTC24, the joint committee of CEN and CENELEC. Until these standards are finalized, part of the technical detail behind the DPP remains in flux. Companies that build on open, cross-sector standards now reduce the risk of having to rebuild their systems later.

From February 18, 2027, light means of transport (LMT) batteries such as e-bikes and e-scooters, industrial batteries above 2 kWh, and EV batteries placed on the EU market must carry a digital battery passport. The battery passport is the sector-specific implementation of the digital product passport under the EU Battery Regulation (EU 2023/1542) and documents material composition, carbon footprint, performance data, and recycled content across the battery's lifecycle.

Tyres are listed as a priority product group for the Digital Product Passport in the European Commission's first ESPR Working Plan (April 2025), with an indicative timeline of 2027. The specific delegated act for tyres has not yet been adopted. Companies that start structuring material, origin, and performance data now will be ready once it is, rather than scrambling under deadline pressure.
