Trusted AI for the Automotive Industry

Artificial intelligence is becoming a core part of the automotive value chain, from manufacturing and logistics to connected services and autonomous driving. As AI systems increasingly operate across organisational boundaries, trusted data provenance, verifiable AI services, identity-based governance, and compliance become critical requirements for safety, accountability, and scalable ecosystem collaboration.

We are excited that the chapter “Trusted AI for the Automotive Industry” by Dr. Carsten Stöcker has now been published and is available to the global scientific community, enabling broader visibility, early access, and scientific citation.

The publication explores Trusted AI architectures for automotive ecosystems, including AI Service Passports, verifiable credentials, decentralised identifiers, the European Business Wallet, and provenance-aware vehicle data chains within ecosystems such as Catena-X.
