Physical AI is moving beyond the digital space: With a projected growth rate of 38.5% through 2030, it is becoming a key driver of industrial value creation.

Physical AI evolves artificial intelligence from a purely digital approach into systems that can act in the real world. By combining AI with sensors and robotics, adaptive systems emerge that can make decisions in dynamic environments and improve efficiency, safety, and resilience.

In regulated industries and critical infrastructure, however, a key challenge remains: Without clear mechanisms for trust, identity, and governance, deployments often remain limited to pilot projects. Limited traceability and unclear responsibilities hinder productive operations.

In our contribution to the Bitkom report, Dr. Carsten Stöcker outlines how Trusted Physical AI Operations address this gap. Verifiable identities, clear authorization structures, and eIDAS 2.0 compliant architectures create the foundation for secure and scalable Physical AI operations.
